Reimagining Web Publishing with Google Docs, open APIs, a dash of GenAI and Drupal as a Front-End

In almost 30 years of CMS history, while we have solved the problem of publishing to the web, we have to acknowledge that we haven’t made it easy to do so. Building a Website and managing its content is still a challenging endeavor that hasn’t gotten easier despite the many architectural trends. Meanwhile, creating content on the cloud has become a breeze using tools such as Google Docs in tandem with modern GenAI services. In this talk, I’ll share our journey at Pantheon in re-inventing the publishing workflow leveraging Google Docs as an authoring platform, a modern SaaS content integration layer with GenAI capabilities and integrations with the leading Website technologies of today and tomorrow, starting with Drupal.
